Extra-Thick Dock Bumpers

Extra-thick laminated bumpers for installations where dock seals are extra thick; and where greater "stand-out" distance from dock sills is required. Available in vertical or horizontal bumpers which consist of tough piles of truck tire fabric to ensure long lasting protection and shape retention.

Suggested Specifications

Resilient rubber material of bumpers are rubberized-fabric truck tires cut to uniform size pads, in standout thickness of 8", 9", 10 1/2" or 12" for all types and punched to receive 3/4" support rods. All bumpers are closed with two 1/4" support rods. All bumpers are closed with two 1/4" steel formed plates under 1500 pounds of pressure. Formed plates are closed with threaded rods and nuts at both ends. Flat plates are available. Finish of exposed metal shall be black lead free enamel or galvanized (hot dipped).

Extra-Length Dock Bumpers

Extra-length laminated bumpers are ideal where refrigeration or warmth need to be contained, i.e. factories, warehouses and docks. Extra length and custom length bumpers are virtually maintenance free; they also provide special construction features to accommodate unusual anchoring conditions.

Suggested Specifications

Resilient rubber material of bumpers shall be rubberized-fabric truck tire cut to uniform size pads, and punched to receive 3/4" support rods. All bumpers must be either 4 1/2" or 6" thick (projection from dock), and closed with two 3" x 3" x 1/4" structural angles under approximately 1500 pounds of pressure. The angles are closed with 3/4" threaded rods and nuts at both ends. The anchor leg of angle shall extend a minimum of 3" beyond the rubber surface at either end and contain two 13/16" anchor holes as required. The finish exposed metal shall be black lead free enamel or galvanized. There are three options for anchorage devices for extra-length bumpers, AD-3 is supplied unless otherwise specified. Steel Faced Dock Bumpers

Floating steel face offers superior deflecting and shock absorbing capabilities. Ideal for use in docking areas where excessive friction from up and down trailer movement occur. They are impervious to weather damage and are virtually maintenance free. Two steel flat bars woven into rubber laminated bumper and 3/8" steel plate welded to the plates ensure maximum impact protection.

Suggested Specifications
Resilient rubber material of bumpers shall be rubberized-fabric truck tires cut to uniform size pads, either 4 1/2" or 6", or in extre-thick sizes of 8", 9", 10 1/2" or 12", and punched to receive 3/4" supporting rods. Bumpers to have 3/8" steel face plate equal to the rubber surface dimensions. Plate to be welded to two steel support brackets which are to extend back to the 3/4" supporting rods. Brackets to be punched elongated to allow steel face to float under impact.

Molded Dock Bumpers

For Heavy-duty protection of high traffic commercial truck docks. Manufactured from fiber reinforced prime rubber, they provide tough cut-resistant protection and high impact absorption. The compact size and toughness combined with easy installation, make for a clean, neat appearance to any dock area.

Suggested Specifications

All Molded Bumpers are identical in the following specifications. Material - Nylon and Polyester Reinforced Rubber. Durometer - 80+ or -5. Tensile - 950 - 1050 PSI. Impact Recovery - (ASTM 1170) -95%. Specific Gravity - 1.25 Tolerance + or - 1/4". Dock bumpers shall be Nylon and Polyester Reinforced Rubber, each style installed in compliance with appropriate bolt type and recommended installation method. Anchor bolts are supplied separately.
